How to remove and dress contact lenses

At the initial stage of use of contact lenses there is set of the problems connected with removal and putting on of lenses. Over time necessary movements are led up to automatism? and process of removal or putting on of contact lenses takes only several minutes.

It is required to you

· - contact lenses;

· - sterile solution for lenses;

· - napkins;

· - water;

· - soap.

Instruction

1. Carefully wash up hands with soap. At any contacts with lenses and eyes of hand have to be clean to exclude hits of fungi, dust, dirt, microorganisms in eyes, differently diseases of eyes can develop. Wipe hands the towel which is not leaving fibers on skin of hands. It is better to use special napkins. The smallest parts getting under lens cause irritation and discomfortable feelings in eyes.

2. Define eye with which you will always begin both putting on, and removal of lenses. It is especially important that at whom lenses on different eyes have various corrective force. Always begin with the chosen eye.

3. Remove and put on lenses over plain and smooth surface, for example, over table that the fallen lenses could be found easily. It is desirable also that before you there was mirror. It is possible to remove lenses fingertips, without touching them by nails.

4. Take lens and put it on tip of forefinger of your leading hand. Make sure that it is not torn, on it there are no cracks and gaps that the lens is moistened. Look whether it is turned out: if the form of lens reminds bowl with the edges directed up, it in the correct situation. If regions watch aside as at plate, then turn out lens.

5. You look directly before yourself. Middle finger of hand on which there is lens delay lower eyelid down. Index or middle finger of other hand delay upper eyelid up. It is desirable to take also eyelashes that they did not prevent to put on lens. Place contact lens approximately and translate look. She will get up on the right place.

6. If during putting on the lens has fallen, wash out it in solution which was recommended by your ophthalmologist. It is impossible to wash lenses with usual water! Use only fresh sterile solution.

7. Before removing lens, do not forget to wash hands. Look up, delay lower eyelid average, and upper – forefinger of one hand. Other hand make "pinch" average and forefinger, having removed lens from eye. If edges of lens have stuck together, do not straighten it fingers, otherwise it is possible to tear it. Put lens in solution, it will finish.
