The TV in family – joy or a problem
Distribution of television everywhere turned it into public means of information, training and entertainment. Until recently viewing telecasts was business family. Each new viewing the movie gave food for disputes, reflections. Children and parents tremblingly expected the following series. And announcers and leaders were true heroes. Over the years the role of television and its quality underwent changes. And unfortunately these changes are not always favorable.
Value of television to modern family
In modern family the television became a background of everyday life, a routine event. Because of the powerful emotional and informative influence the TV to become a source of the problems connected with dependence on advertizing from the stereotypes of behavior and thoughts imposed to us.
What signs of television dependence:
· you spend at the blue screen more than 4 hours a day,
· you feel shortage something, are irritated at impossibility of viewing TV,
· you with ease refuse habitual occupations and a hobby to please of viewing telecasts,
· you have uncontrollable desire to buy the goods advertized on TV
· you solve problems from everyday life, being based on examples from the watched series.
· your criticality in relation to telecasts is reduced or is absent, you consider that everything that is shown from the blue screen – the real truth.
And how the television in the child's life is important?
Our children grow under TV sounds. Its influence on their developing brain and sight are not reversible. Numerous researches of scientists proved that the child watches TV and perceives it as means knowledge of the world, without distinguishing an invention from reality.
Not to do much harm to development of the child, limit viewing transfers of no more than 10-15 minutes in day. Carefully control that is watched by your son or the daughter.
Remember that if your kid spends at the blue screen more than 4 hours a day, then it can have following problems:
· decrease in visual acuity,
· increase in risk of obesity because of an inactive way of life,
· reduction of ability to concentrate during training,
· increase in level of aggression in relation to the peers,
· hyper excitability and bad dream,
· excessive fears and neurosises because of the taken-away violence scenes.
How to cope with television dependence:
The simplest and effective remedy from television dependence is restriction of time of viewing. Do not replace the life with life of television heroes. You will leave the house and feel all charm of the world surrounding you. Take your children, show them the true world and life and surely explain that there are two types of fairy tales: some for small are animated films and movies for children, and there are fairy tales for adults – they are called cinema. Do not forget that nothing can replace real-life human communication.
